Five Weeks and growing

Nolan has had some big accomplishments this past week! We are now using Isomil formula due to some kind of allergy to the other formula. We are using new Nuk nipples which the Dr. asked us to use. He still has his moments, but it seems to be getting better!!!! He sleeps at the most three hours at a time at night, but i am reassured that will get better. He is off in a deep sleep right now in his swing. He transitioned to his own bedroom this past week. He seems to be doing good sleeping in his crib. (That is once he falls asleep at night, or early in the morning!) He rolled from his belly to his back on the 22nd, but hasnt proven himself again since then. He also started smiling when he is awake, but very briefly. Every time I get the camera he has moved on to other faces or trying to "talk". He sure is cute.

One Month Already

Well, four weeks have come and gone and I can't believe it! Nolan had his one month appt today and he weighs 7 pounds 10 ounces, and is 21.5 inches long!!!!! He is growing fast, just like everyone said he would. He still doesnt fit into any of his clothes, except newborn onesies and sleepers! I am sure he will fit in the rest soon enough! He has been having some "colic" episodes that the dr described as normal. The Dr. put him on a different formula due to his terrible belly aches. It has the protein broken down for him. Maybe his little belly is too immature to digest those things! I also had to get new nipples; the dr explained that is half the battle, using the right nipple. Grandma's have been here visiting the the little man the past couple of days, along with aunt kenzie. Last night(after a terrible evening of an inconsolable crying spell) he slept is longest in a row, 3 hours. Yeah for mommy!!! (the sleep) The crying spell, poor baby. It really does break your heart. Hopefully the new formula and nipples will work wonders. He has been such a good boy today. I love him to pieces, and his daddy does too! Cute things from this week have been him holding his pacifier in his mouth and those funny faces he makes.

Week Three

Nolan still has frequent belly aches, but not as bad as on the breast milk. With that being said, unfortunately we stopped breast feeding and went to formula. He seems to be much happier with that. He slept for almost three hours last night!! Hopefully that will keep increasing. He is resting quietly in his swing now. Cant believe it has been over three weeks! It is a blizzard here today so we will be staying in yet again:)

Two weeks and three days

Nolan is growing! He had his two week appt Tuesday and gained four more pounds for a whopping 6 punds 10 oz! Yeah! We passed the birth weight!! He is trying to be better at night, we are still working on that. Things are going well here. Here are some more pictures.

BORN 12-23-08

After the first dr visit on Tuesday Nolan weighed 6 punds 6 oz, which is better than the 6 lbs 2oz he weighed when we left the hospital. We appreciate all the phone calls and visits from friends and family. Thanks for keeping us in your thoughts! The Family is doing well. :)
