Nine Weeks

We survived the trip to Nashville to visit Jake, Aunt kathleen, Uncle Dean, Jen, Jay, and Great grandma and grandpa(Nina and Bob). Nolan slept most of the way there and home. He is smiling and talking a little more. He had his two month dr. appt yesterday. 9 pounds 9.5 oz!! and 23 inches long! He is gaining weight well. Seems tall and skinny, but he is definately filling out in the face more. He got his three shots, and cried the whole way home, but was a great baby the rest of the night. He still gets up every three hours to eat, only sleeping about 2.5 at a time. Next week when I go back to work, we will have to have a serious talk! Nolan has a hip Ultrasound tomorrow to be sure his hip isnt dislocated. The pediatrician said he is pretty sure it is not, but wants to double check with the US. We are graduating Nolan from newborn diapers this week and looking for longer clothing in his closet that will fit his length! Hope everyone is doing well.

Seven weeks

Not too much going on this week. It was cold, so i gave Nolan his first stroller ride inside the house. Today it is 60 here so we walked outside and that put him right to sleep. Wish it was 60 outside every day!! He is getting better at night, about 4 hours sleep at a time if i am lucky!! He usually gets up when derrick leaves in the morning around 630. We are looking forward to our first roadtrip to Nashville next weekend!! I did get him out of the house quite a bit this past week, target, babiesrus, and his first lunch outing yesterday. He was great a babiesrus, cried the entire time at target, and slept yesterday through lunch. Overall, great son!! :)

6 weeks

We dont have an official weight, but this boy is growing fast! Although, he is still in newborn diapers, we are going to have to start packing up some of his newborn clothes that are too tight (lengthwise). Good thing i have a whole closet full of bigger clothes! He is becoming much more of a smiley boy, and tries to talk, that is when he is in a good mood. He still has some crying/screaming spells, but i think he is getting better. As far as sleep or a schedule, not quite there yet. Some nights are better than others i must say. He only cat naps during the day right now for some reason, and you cant put him down or turn off the swing, and the binky has to stay in his mouth, which wont of course and he cries and wakes to full attention when he loses it. He eats about three oz of formula every 3-4 hours, sometimes only 2.5 hours between during the day. I believe we will be increasing to 3.5 oz very soon, especially before bed!!!! He had his first professional photo shoot, that went well of course, probably because he is used to the 500 pictures mommy has taken already! I am going to try to do better, maybe only 50 this week. Can't think of anything else that is or has gone on this past week, just so thankful for this healthy, beautiful baby boy.
