Almost 39 weeks!

Well my 37 week visit I was still at 2cm. This week, I went to St. Anns due to some overnight swelling of face, fingers and legs. Everything checked out good and I got to hear Evan's heart beat race to each contraction i was having. I could even feel some of them because I had quiet time to sit and relax while waiting on testing. I was 3 cm yesterday and after seeing dr today, 4cm. He will be here anytime!! Nolan had a great christmas and we look forward to the new year!

36 week Dr visit

If baby Evan isnt here before January 5th, he will be here that day! The Dr. decided after the appt today that I would be induced to avoid placenta problems that we had last time. The doctor also said that I will be having a bigger baby than Nolan. I have also started dialating (2 cm) and 70% effaced. Baby is head down and ready to make his arrival, moving non stop the past few days. Nolan has been sick with flu like symptoms, but no high fever. Hopefully we can see the Dr. today. Excitement is on the rise for the holidays and our anticipated arrival of baby Evan!!

Birthday Boy

We had a small birthday gathering for Nolan on the fifth to celebrate his second birthday! He got a wagon and had to open all of his gifts in it. I dont think there was one thing he wasnt excited about. We had snacks, cupcakes and icecream. He was happy when we sang happy birthday and he blew out his own candle! Cant believe he is going to be two years old! He got a variety of movies, puzzles, pjs, train toys, chuck the dump druck, handy manny tools, and some money! Thanks for celebrating!

The Suprise Shower

Well, my wonderful friends decided they didnt want baby Evan to have to wear hand-me-downs and maybe he should have a few things of his own, so they decided to plan a shower for Evan and not tell Mom! Needless to say I was very suprised and very appreciative of all of the wonderful presents we now have for EVAN! Nolan wont have to learn to share since Evan has all of his own things. HA! Thanksgiving

We went to grandma Jeans and grandma Joni's for thanksgiving. Nolan helped prepare the turkey, but didnt really eat too much.

The First Snow

Nolan was very excited when we got home this evening and there was snow on the ground. I dressed him up to go play for a few minutes even though it was very cold. It was cute how excited he was for the snow, it was like his first discovery.

The countdown to TWO

Nolan is almost 23 months old! He continues his cough and congestion, but hopefully we will all be getting rid of that soon. With his birthday and christmas on the way I have been reflecting on the past year and the year that Nolan was ONE has been very eventful for him in many ways. It is amazing how he has grown in size and in brain. He is so smart and learning new things everyday that he somehow stores somewhere. He is doing well in his room, although I think between the cold and the nightmares, we will all be glad when he is sleeping without waking up much through the night. It is normally only once or twice, so thats not so bad anyway. He is just helping mommy prepare for the baby. Now that I am 33 weeks pregnant, I am trying to balance getting ready for the baby, being nolans mommy, and keeping up on things around the house. Christmas shopping almost complete, thank goodness! I am excited for Thanksgiving to be with all the family, and would like to thank everyone who has been a part of watching Nolan grow this past year. We are thankful for all of you. Nolan has been to the two year old class at the library that hopefully we can go to a few more times before baby arrives. He is showing his twos quite frequently through temper tantrums, but some days is as sweet as can be! My favorite phrase right now "mommy, i need you" when he is getting tired and wants me to hold him... He is still napping during the day, which is more challenging some days than others. He really doesnt have a favorite toy that he likes, but continues to play with all of his toys, trucks, trains, and books. His favorite snacks are fruit snacks and string cheese. He loves the movies Shrek, Cars, and Toy Story. He still likes Dora too... He did have his first experience at the Cookie Cutters Hair Salon, after daddy cut his hair we decided the top was too long and needed cut as well. He is still in size 5 diapers, and wearing between 24mos and 3T shirts and 2T pants. Love him! He also says I love you now, but only on his terms!

Trick or Treat

Nolans first night of Trick or Treat was great! He was very excited and said "trick or treat" to everyone! He also did a good job saying "thank you." He was very excited for his candy and more candy and suckers. It was very cold outside, but we just went around the block and then we came home to hand out candy, which he did just as good with. He really wasnt scared, just a little unsure about some of those costumes. Of course we thought he was just so cute, but so did many others. :) We also carved pumpkins on Tuesday night and he enjoyed getting the "goop" out!

22 MONTHS

Only two months until our baby is two! This past month has been full of fall, pumpkins, baby showers, and a bad cold for Nolan and mommy. The past few days Nolan has been telling us his teeth hurt, I think he is getting a two year molar, or starting the process...He is continuing to amaze me everyday with his vocabulary, complete sentences, and sometimes please and thank you on his own. We had a fun trip to Leeds pumpkin farm one morning, and we also went to the pumpkin show. We also went to Noble County for a weekend to stay at a friends from work, which was really nice because Nolan was really good for the most part and Derrick got a buck hunting down there. Palmer Family

Well Nolan is almost 21 months and mommy is 24 weeks pregnant. Nolan has had an exciting past couple of weeks with our family weekend trip to Indianapolis and then moving into his big boy room. He is now in the front room with bunk beds! The transition has gone smooth for the most part, although he sometimes will ask for his baby bed. He has been getting more teeth in but it is really hard now to get a chance to get in there and feel for exactly whats in and whats trying to come in! He also had a bloody nose the other night, but wasnt bothered by it at all. He will tell you his nose was bleeding. He is communicating very well and has started acting like he is two. Daddy just got over being sick for over a week with fever and is doing much better! We went to the zoo today as this week is one of the last hotest weeks of the summer. Cant wait for fall!

20 months

This past month we have found ourselves just as busy as we were in July. Nolan is turning 20 months old and baby Palmer two is 20 weeks! Nolan weighs over 28 pounds and has seven bottom teeth and seven top teeth. He has been teething pretty bad this past month with fevers on and off and no other signs of cold or flu. He has had a quite a few bad nights of sleeping, but i think he is just trying to get me ready for the baby. We have had a lot of activity this past month. We went to the knox county fair, lexi's birthday party, Pat's pool, visiting baby Madison Lyons, the Ohio State Fair, chuck e cheese(only during oil change), campground to swim and play with family, The Hartford county fair, The hiawatha community pool with Aidan, and finally zoombezi bay. Unfortunately one of our visits to the campground ended with a 3rd febrile seizure. (sat aug 7th) It came so fast from no where and he is fine now. We are trying to transition him to a new room, but we have to get it ready first. We also had a baby appt on Monday to find out ITS A BOY! We are very excited about that, and I am busy planning his arrival as well. He is measuring quite large at 13 oz at our 19 week appt. The Dr kept my due date of JANUARY 8th!!! Besides Nolans amazing capability to learn so much everyday and sing and talk about everything, not too much is new! Hope everyone is doing well. 19 months today

Wow, month 18 was so busy, but so much fun. Although Nolan is picking up bad habits and not being a good boy from time to time, I did manage to make lots of memories and take 114 pictures of month 18. He did so many activities, from going to the circus, the zoo, zoombezi bay, alum creek beach, playing in his turtle pool and with the hose outside the house, to lunch and dinner dates, a weekend with aunt jenna, and playing in the rain for the first time. He went today to Pat's pool with Quest! He loves picking the tomatoes and eating them off the vine, which used to be the raspberries, but the birds got to those. His eating is off and on. He is doing good in size 5 diaper and in mostly18- 24 month clothes. He has been very enjoyable. Even though the circus was 100 degrees we all made it through the entire show, it was nice. We plan on going to a couple fairs over the next month for more entertainment. Nolan rode his first choo choo at the zoo, and is adjusting to the merry go round. He likes to rockebye on his bear rocker before bed while reading books. He gives my belly kisses to kiss his baby sibling. My dr appt monday showed tremendous weight gain and 150 heart rate.(of the baby that is:) Happy 19 months!

18 months and growing

Nolan had his 18 month check up and he weighs 27 pounds 7 ounces and is 34.25 inches tall. As his eating has slowed down he is still growing up too fast. His favorite phrases this month "Im funny", "I cant reach it", "I dont want to", and "mmmm delicious". His favorite foods: fruit snacks, popsicles, pizza and hot dogs. He loves his bear and is starting to pretend play with bear and his toys. He loves to play cars and with the choo-choos. He also loves all the shows on TV, Elmo, wonder pets, dora... We have been to the alum creek beach a couple of times, and we are going to the circus today. He did get to see his first real fireworks in Mount Vernon on Friday night and he did very well, not scared at all! Derrick has been working and golfing, Emma made it back safe from albuquerque, and Uncle Jake made it safe from Kuwait, brining Nolan back his own arab outfit. Baby Palmer number two is now 13 weeks and mom and baby seem to be growing... Right now its ALL about Nolan!

17 months and three weeks

Nolan is getting all kinds of teeth! We finally moved on to size five diapers too. He has discovered his favorite word, NO. He is also saying his abc's and counting to ten. He loves to do his happy dance when he gets excited. he also likes to be outside. We went to memphis and he loved the water. I had my ten week appt at the dr. monday(june 14) and got to hear the babies heartbeat. It was 170 beats per minute and made things seem very real. So real that we went to babies r us this morning about bought a couple things. (diapers, changing pads, baby wash...) We had a small gathering with family this weekend to celebrate Nolans half birthday. Thanks for making life so enjoyable! Hope everyone is doing well. I am glad i am feeling better:) minor heartburn at night, and major overeating, thats all... Nolan on the otherhand has drastically stopped eating like he used to. He'd Rather play(yes on the floor with toys, or with his food) We did go to alum creek state park one day after the zoo.

17 months

Well during Nolans month 16 we found out he is going to be a big brother. After an Ultrasound, I am seven weeks. Feeling 100% pregnant! We do tell Nolan there is a baby in mommys belly and at first he was very interested, but not anymore. He does know what gentle means, so hopefully it will only get better before the new arrival in January. Nolan is continuing to repeat everything we say, including short sentences or phrases. He has thankfully been healthy this month and we hope that continues! At the beginning of month 16 Nolan had an EEG for his seizures. The worst thing I have ever seen...but sure glad it was normal. Still in size four diapers and coming in around 27 pounds on the scale. He sure looks bigger. He is becoming a picky eater, or maybe it is just a phase. His eight front teeth are coming in well so he is quite the chomper on most things. We will flying on an airplane in a few days to Memphis for Jennifer's graduation! Look forward to seeing everyone. Some of Nolans Favorite things right now: Elmo, Dora, Diego, and he is just starting to play with his cars. He does take to some of his stuffed animals, and constantly talks about sheep and hugs his monkey. He knows all of the facial parts, including pulling hair. I know it will be challenging, but I am looking forward to two!

Sixteen months

It has come so fast! Nolan weighs 26 pounds! We went to the dr. Monday after a viral infection caused a fever and another seizure. Nolan is doing well now! Happy month 16 day!

15 months

That bottom right side tooth is working its way through the gum today. Nolan is back to drooling like crazy. He is wearing size four diapers still, no current ht or wt, but he is growing. He is taking one nap a day now, sometimes still in the morning. He loves the outdoors! He knows the dirt, and the mulch real well. His vocabulary expands daily. He enjoyed the easter egg hunt for about two eggs, then he dumped the basket. He helped decorate the cupcakes for Easter. Aidan pushed him through the yard at grandmas with all his energy. Nolan loves the golf cart too.
