Evan Four weeks/ Nolan 25 months

Took the boys to the DR for check ups on Thursday! What an adventure:) Evan weighs 9 pounds 4 ounces and Nolan just over 30 pounds. Evan is 21.5inches and Nolan is 36.5 inches and growing! The boys each got a prescription, Nolan bilateral ear infections/sinus infection and Evan has little reflux? with no spitting up. They thought it may actually just be belly aches from lactose intolerance so I am taking a lactase pill to try to help that too! Evan sleeps about 1-2.5 hours at a time at night after our 11:00 bedtime. He is usually up in morning between 7-8 after a belly ache for a couple hours then naps off and on throughout the day. Cant figure out if he just likes to be held or if he has a belly ache every time we lay him down. :( He has moved to size one diapers, out of newborn clothes. He also had his first bottle at almost three weeks and did great. Nolan is busy playing. He had a short playdate yesterday with Lexi and Molly at the mall. He also went sledding at grandma/pas this week. We are in survival mode with a two year old that needs to play and watch tv all day and a baby who has no schedule and eats every one to three hours through out day and night. Evans umbilical cord finally fell off last week! We have been attending a breastfeeding support group on Wednesdays (thanks mom) that has really been good for mommy! All in all we are a very blessed family for what we have and the friends and family surrounding us! Thanks for everything!

Evan Two Weeks

We had a dr visit at 10 days and he was back up to 8 pounds. He is sleeping between 1.5 and 3 hours at a time at night. Last night has been about the worst, going to bed after 11 and getting up at 1245, 245, 445, 6, and 7. He is awake for a little while between 8-9, but most awake time is in the evening. He usually nurses for about 15-20 mins every 2-3 hours. (with the exception last night of every 1.5-2) He gets belly aches before a bowel movement but once its out he is good to go. He was jaundice the first week and we went to childrens close to home for lab work that came back normal. He still has his umbilical cord at two weeks, but hopefully it wont be much longer... He did have his first and second sponge bath. He loves to pee on me, the floor, changing table, his face... anything he can when that diaper comes off for the two seconds while putting the next one on. He has the hiccups more than not, like in utero. Nolan is doing very well with him. This morning he rocked up gently and sang rock a bye to him. Tried to video tape it but the camera was dead. He is always asking about Evan if he cant see him and offers kisses and cars a lot! Hope it stays that way. He also asks if he can crawl yet, or play with him...Long way to go but cant wait!! Well maybe I can!Nolan got a haircut and new shoes at the mall the other night. (when asked by grandma who cut his hair, he said the haircut doctor!) We went out as a family to Polaris and ate dinner. It went very well. The boys slept in the car. Baby Evan is still in Newborn diapers even though he is going to outgrow them as soon as that umbilical cord comes off. The laundry basket is always full thanks to his wonderful messes! Hope everyone is doing well.

Nolan first impression from the second level of Polaris was amazing. He was so suprised and he put his hand over his mouth. When we got down to Santa he was afraid until he was offered a sucker, then they were like best friends!
