September
Nap time!!! Boys are both sleeping in their twin beds after we tried the bunk beds. They are doing better, however if you let them stay up on their own you will find them sleeping together. Here they are taking a nap.
Nolan had his first cherub choir practice this week and he loved it. He is very excited about that and pre-school. He had a great first two weeks of preschool and we cant wait for next week to make our snack! I am trying to find ideas to re-do their bedroom and the playroom. Hopefully I will have a post on that by next year :) Evan is talking more and loves puppies. Nolan is really into playing scoody doo. Derrick and I shared our five year anniversary at a Reds Game and night in Cincinnati last weekend. We had dinner on the river and went to game, followed by a bar, and running back to hotel in pouring rain. It was fun, funny and great to be together. Ikea and Jungle Jims were great fun on way home. Looking forward to fall!

Wow how time flies...
Wow how time has flown by. I can't believe my last post was before Christmas. So many things have changed in our lives including the boys becoming almost a year older. I have changed job locations, Evan had tubes put in ears and is now talking, and Nolan is going to be starting preschool in September. We went to Myrtle Beach at beginning of August for a family vacation, and had also gone to Memphis in May to visit family. So many exciting adventures for us as a family. I may not have kept up blogging, but hopefully my pictures still give justice to the busy, fun, exciting lives we lead. :)
Derrick has been working diligently, and finding free time to fish, golf, move trail camera around, work at property, spend some nights with friends, and watch teen wolf here and there.
Emma has been blessed with a new job, much closer to home, with a great group of people to work with. Some days are hard in missing those who were so close back at RMH, but they will never be forgotten. Going back to work five days a week has been challenging in the way that I feel I am missing boys growing up so I try to spend every moment I can with them.
Nolan has been in and out of doctor for leg pain, difficultly sleeping, and just being three. He was diagnosed with low Iron and given supplement and has had blood drawn twice, not a tear shed. He is growing in size and vocabulary and often surprises us with some of the intelligent things he has to say. He starts preschool in September and is very excited about that. He did vacation bible school with mommy as the crew leader in June. He has been swimming with his floaties very well and enjoys playing with Woody and toy story toys, Thomas, and some lightening still.
Evan is very ornary. He has a "head dance" that is so cute and known by many who know Evan. He is rotten and likes to bully Nolan at times. (and nolan usually lets him...) He has a cheesy grin and knows when he is in wrong and just laughs. He is very rambunctious and difficult to get to sit with. He loves to look at books, laugh at Elmo and Mickey Mouse, and likes to try to play trains with Nolan. He really likes airplane and piggyback rides. He also knows how to put his nose on the wall for time out :) His last tooth is coming in and he is trying to talk more. He LOVES balls and hit the baseball twice, off the tee the other day (aug) holding both hands on bat. Definately Ball Boy!
My birthday highlights(29):
Nolan singing me happy birthday for a piece of cake after dinner
Evan kissing my arm after biting it so hard. (last tooth coming in)
Rocking Nolan per his request and him so calmly looking up at me and saying Happy Birthday Mommy, just when I thought I needed to be asleep because I was sooo tired, then couldnt fall asleep thinking how sweet he could be
First Mom ah ha moments:
Dropping Nolan off to sunday school room in late winter and walking out to the sanctuary for church, looking up on screen and seeing Nolans beautiful face from the previous years easter egghunt in a church video that was created, and thinking oh my that is my child, so proud!
Nolans prayer: Dear God, Thank you for my mommy, Amen. He has many other of course, thanking for favorite toys, and daddy and ev, but obviously I have my favorite!

My First Visit with Santa

Nolan first impression from the second level of Polaris was amazing. He was so suprised and he put his hand over his mouth. When we got down to Santa he was afraid until he was offered a sucker, then they were like best friends!
